Remembering the Dominican Nigeria Province of St. Joseph the Worker in your Will

After you have provided for loved ones, why not support the other things in life that gave you joy?

The Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph the Worker are part of an international Catholic religious order founded in Spain in the early 13th century.

800 years later, the purpose continue in the mission to Preach and Teach for the Salvation of Souls, by working with all people of good well through Prayer, Study, Community and Apostolate; it works alongside all people of faith and goodwill, which is done through Catholic Christian ministry and by being available to those who are often at the edges of Church and society.

​

The Bequests in a Will or Trust serve the community throughout Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia: running parishes, working in prisons and hospitals Chaplaincies, and running Dominican University Ibadan. It also supports Dominican communities across the world, but particularly in Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia. 

​

By leaving a gift to the Dominicans, dba, Dominican Fathers and Brothers, Province of Nigeria Inc., in your Will, you are helping to ensure that the work and ministry of the province will continue for many generations to come. All gifts, whether large or small, are immensely important to the charity. It is thanks to so many of the legacies of the past that we have been able to continue our work, building God’s Kingdom on earth, even when your earthly life is over.

Benefactors are remembered regularly in our prayers, and by making a bequest, you can help us continue our vocation to preach and teach the Gospel. Our deceased benefactors share in a Mass offered for them each month of the year and also in daily Mass during the month of November. We brought nothing into the world when we came, and we will take nothing out of it when we leave, but the work of building God’s Kingdom continues after our death.

When you inform us of your intention to remember the Dominicans in your Will, there is no obligation to join – membership is simply a mark of gratitude and in recognition of your commitment to the future of the Province of St. Joseph the Worker, dba, Dominican Fathers and Brothers, Province of Nigeria Inc, USA.

Whether you have already written your will or still have to write one, including a gift to the Nigerian province, it is a simple process that takes a few moments.
